About Me

A word of caution: This page is potentially the most serious page on this website.

Tux and Sox

My name is Jason, I am 45+ and reside in Australia with my family of 5 (8 if you include pets - 9 if you include the neigbour's cat which also thinks it owns us). I have always loved cartooning. Looking back, cartooning was an important part of my childhood. I do alot less now (thank you real life), however I do still find it a creative 'out' that is important to me. Therefore, this website is really a 'therapy place' for me. If you enjoy it too, then that is a bonus... 😁

Things I like to 'create'

Here is a quick list of how I express my creativity...

What is this website?

Spoiler Alert: The Karton Empire is not real. 😱😱😱. It is a creative place in my mind where all my charactors live. It gives context to my creative works. There was a time when I felt that my 'creative abilities' just don't stack up against the rest of the world. Then I came to the realisation that that really doesn't matter... then, from time to time, I sometimes find myself back feeling that again. Overall I know that it's not about how good or bad I am compared with anyone else, this is really about me expressing my creativity... so here I am.

This site is also a place to talk and share about my other hobbies and interests (listed above). In particular I enjoy playing Minecraft and War of Rights.

War of Rights

War of Rights Logo

A fun First Person Shooter based on the American Civil War. Historically accurate maps, uniforms, guns, flags. I am part of an Australian regiment called the 10th Southern Cross. We have a website and a discord channel you can access us here.. "Did the Aussies have a regiment in the American Civil War?" I hear you say. Ummm no, but if they did, we are, no doubt, a historically accurate representation of that.

If you are interested the game is available on Steam and is 50% off for USA summer sales in July. A Word of warning: If you are a little woke or easily trigged this game may not be for you 😉.

Final thoughts for now

In a world of increasing homogenization of cultures through social media, algorithms and the seamingly inevitable A.I. take over. It is more important then ever to have a place like NeoCities.org where people can express their own unique take on humanity. This website is my attempt at that.
